I just got a 42 inch sylvania hdtv from sears on black friday. I took it home and was very careful about opening it. I found out the tv makes an annoying buzzing sound and the contrast ratio in most viewing angles blow. I should have known this before but the lighting in the store sucks so its hard to tell. I still have everything in perfect working order and have had the tv for about 4 days. Is there ANY way I can get around the 15% restocking fee?

You can certainly try. Call them up and tell them that you are very unhappy with the TV and feel that your TV does not look as good as the one at the store did. Mention the buzzing sound and how it was impossible to hear in the store. You really don’t have anything to lose.
