a 2nd hand store like the salvation army sometimes there are great finds there. and you can always refinish the wood furniture and re-upholstery the couche and other funiture. slip covers are an easy way to go as well. the only thing i would not get at a 2nd hand store is a bed i am sure you wouldn’t either. but you could find a lot of great buys at the salvation army. and about ikea furniture i had a living room and dresser set from there, for college and it got me thru four years of college and i sold it when i was done i loved it. but i also bought a few things at the salvy and fixed them up. which was my roomates idea i wasn’t thrilled with the idea but it turned out beautiful. good luck
