use my computer to open a door?
is there any way i can get a computer program and actuator to do the following,
1. hook an actuator to a usb port.
2. us a computer program to enter a “passcode” that then triggers the actuator.
3 have the actuator actuate for 2.3 secopnds(or some period of time, and then stop, and “reset”
idealy, ill use this to make a “safe” that links via usb to my computer, i clicky the icon for the safe(program) and then it prompts for a pass code(enter the coe corecty) and it unlocks the safe, then resets so that the safe door will re latch snd be “secure” when its closed.
i realize this is asking alot, but the internet hates me today, and ive seen lava lamps for usb ports, i think i HAVE to be able to do something usefull here!
