To the oustdoors to night and watch a building, the lighting can be seen through the window seems to have a warm yellow light. But when you look within the same building, the lighing no more appear yellow. It has suddenly become white light. Anyone know why that is?

The perception of "whiteness" of the eyes depends largely on the context. Colors of the night out tend to have a strong blue cast to them, which means that our perception of color balance shifts toward the blue (and "pure white" appears yellow). By contrast, incandescent lights are very yellow in fact, so its light through the windows looks yellow color and why photos taken under incandescent light amber eyes. But once we are surrounded by the lights of the same color, our brain decides "which is the new target neutral "and it seems to us, and the outside is blue.
