A few small corrective suggestions: The word “upheld” actually means to support something more often than not physically. I would change that to something like “epitomized.” Also “serene” is an adjective, and is pretty much outdated as a noun, so it makes the sentence read a little awkwardly. Try putting a noun after it, like “It broke the serene atmosphere.”

Other than that, I think this is quite good for a 12 year old, and I LOVE the name Oliver
